Aston Martin, the luxury sports car manufacturer, will be hoping for a marketing boost next year with the scheduled release of the new James Bond film, Skyfall.
The 23rd instalment of the Bond franchise will once again shine a spotlight on new Aston Martin cars as well as the classic models, like the Aston Martin DB5.
It may be more than four decades since Goldfinger was released, but the Aston Martin Silverbirch DB5, driven by Sean Connery's Bond, remains one of the most iconic cars in movie history.
Aston Martin describes it as "the most famous car in the world" and "many a schoolboy's dream".
Various Aston Martin models have appeared in Bond films over the years, from the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Valante to the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish.
The latest film, Skyfall, will see Daniel Craig's Bond back behind the wheel of the classic Aston Martin DB5. A recent photo obtained by fan site MI6-HQ.com, showed the classic sports car being driven on set at a shoot in Lewisham.
Skyfall is scheduled for release in Australia in November 2012.
